CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Consultation and Validation Meeting on the EUCSG 2020 Assessment Report

As part of the mandate to review and provide monitoring under the Guidelines for EU Support to Civil Society in Enlargement Region for the needs of the DG NEAR on annual basis, EU TACSO 3 project is pleased to invite you to the country consultation and validation meetings on the EUCSG 2020 Assessment Report.

The meeting will be held on Monday, September 06, 2021 at 10:00 Central European Time.

The purpose of the validation meeting is to present the regional findings and situation in the field of supportive environment and capacity of CSOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, the meeting will aim to ensure the validation of the evaluation results and review the recommendations made in the Report, as well as to ensure that representatives of CSOs and other stakeholders are actively involved in this process. The meeting is organized in cooperation with the Delegations of the European Union in each of the IPA beneficiaries and in cooperation with the National Resource Centers (NRC). Based on the input received in the consultation and validation sessions, the final report will then be finalized and published.

The preparation of the Assessment Report for the calendar year 2020 is part of the monitoring throughout the Western Balkans and in Turkey and was implemented in cooperation with the Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN). It consisted of two phases: (i) data collection (analysis of available documentation, CSO questionnaire, focus groups and interviews) which included over 630 questionnaire responses, a total of 28 focus groups with 173 representatives and interviews with 70 different actors; (ii) analysis and synthesis of data into a regional report. The whole process of data collection, analysis and synthesis is based on previous work undertaken in 2019 in order to record all trends and developments in each of the specific areas of the framework results of the Guidelines that are being monitored. Also, this year a special focus was dedicated to the effects of COVID – 19 and the end period of the EU Guidelines for Civil Society. The official language of the event is English. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
