Training – Financial Management

Financial management is very important for organizational capacity building. Although the activities of non-governmental organizations are based on noble and socially useful ideas and goals, their work is not immune to the everyday problems and business challenges in terms of building and implementing an adequate financial management system, which should ensure continuous and sustainable work, by complying with the laws and regulations of the state, donor requirements (local and international) and the needs and goals defined by the statute and internal acts of the organization.

The Financial Management training is realized within the Financial Operations of non-governmental organizations. During the training the following areas will be covered:

1. Internal control system

2. Financial accounting and reporting

3. Audit in NGOs – how to prepare?

4. Non-governmental organization as an employer

The training is intended for people from partner organizations that cooperate within the Snaga lokalnog/LocalWorks (USAID / LWCDA), the Human Rights Support Program (USAID/INSPIRE) or other USAID programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given the current epidemiological situation, and the recommendations of the competent Crisis Headquarters, training is limited to 25 people. Submission of application does not automatically mean that the person has been selected to participate in the training. Persons selected for training will be notified by email.

Technical information:

The training will be held in Jahorina, Aparthotel Vučko, Olimpijska 1. The organizer will cover the costs of working materials, meals during the training, travel expenses and accommodation for participants. The selected participants will receive detailed technical information and the agenda no later than seven days before the training.

Certificate of participation:

Certificate of participation will be given to participants who attend at least 90% of the training.
