The City of Sarajevo continues its activities within the TRIBUTE project

The TRIBUTE project consortium held its second Steering Committee meeting on July 22, which was held online due to the unpredictable epidemiological situation. Nevertheless, the project partners had the opportunity to discuss several technical steps of the project with emphasis on two work packages that are extremely important for the TRIBUTE project: “Methodological framework and assessment” and “Identification of action plans supporting the implementation of innovative and sustainable mobility measures”.

Within the first work package, significant progress was made in identifying relevant actors – more than 190 different actors were represented, while 57 signed letters of intent. This information was then used to develop a methodology for creating a Living Lab, as a new form of “public-private-citizen partnership” in which citizens, companies, researchers and public administrations work together to find innovative solutions for urban mobility. This cannot be achieved without appropriate action plans. Therefore, the City of Milan has scheduled three thematic technical meetings with TRIBUTE project partners, and in connection with the specific objectives of the action plans of the project partners, it has identified pilot actions that will be developed through the Living Lab TRIBUTE. These online meetings focused in particular on one of the following strategic approaches to sustainable mobility in the Adriatic-Ionian region: “Innovative public transport services”, “Green network of cycle paths” and “Management of heavily congested corridors”.

In accordance with the set goals within the TRIBUTE project, the City of Sarajevo participated in the subgroup “Innovative public transport services”. Each project partner sent the inputs needed to identify the pilot action and its methodology. As of today, the leader of the second priority work package, the City of Milan, has managed to complete the activities on collecting identification information on the pilot action, while the collection of inputs on the methodology for the action plan was completed on October 15.
