If you are a startup or SME and want to participate in the development of a specific overall solution for an industry that is innovative and digital, then the call within the Digital Challenge project is an opportunity for you.

– Also, if you are a company that wants to invest 50% of the value of a certain solution to improve your business, then the Digital Challenge Owner call is for you.

DigiFed is an action under the H2020 program consisting of 12 partners from nine countries and lasts for three years with a budget of almost 4 mil EUR.

The aim of the action is to strengthen the use and adoption of advanced digital technologies through cyber-physical systems (CPS) – systems that contain software, sensors (physical components) and communication part – a practically complete solution for a particular stage of production in an industry. DigiFed will try to accelerate and provide support in the use of new technologies by merging large companies with European innovative smaller companies in the early stages of development (companies with high digital potential).

This action launches a project called Digital Challenge which will last 9-12 months and which targets startups and SMEs (those who will develop the solution/product/service) as well as the companies that will use the solution, provided that the solution must not exist in in any form – neither an embedded system nor cyber-physical systems (CPS).

The Digital Challenge project finances 50% of the development of the solution, while the rest is financed by the company that will use the solution – Digital Challenge Owner. Each individual project can be worth between 60,000 and 100,000 EUR.

The call for the Digital Challenge Owner is open and it’s available HERE.

The call for solution providers will be open in May this year.
