The skills needed for good quality advocacy are essential for civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time, the complex political system of our country complicates the advocacy process, but also offers more opportunities for advocacy with a larger number of actors.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT organized an online training via ZOOM platform on the topic “Public advocacy for social change”. The training was conducted within the USAID/LocalWorks Capacity Development Activity project implemented by the Institute and supported by the USAID Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the training, participants learned how to create and implement advocacy campaigns, how to analyze policy actors, and how to measure the changes achieved by advocacy campaigns. In addition, participants were further introduced to the theory of change methodology.
This training also proved that such complex topics, although performed online, can be simplified and adapted to the needs of the participants. Advocacy processes ensure long-term changes that affect the lives of all people. Civil society organizations are responsible for many useful legal solutions, and through such trainings we want to strengthen as many organizations as possible so that they can ensure long-term positive changes for their target groups.
The Institute hereby invites representatives of civil society organizations to apply for additional online training of Public advocacy for social change, which will be held on April 19 and 20, 2021 via ZOOM platform.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 30 people. We invite all interested individuals to apply for the training using this LINK. It is important that all registered participants have a stable internet connection so that they can follow the entire training without interruption.
Please note that these are individual applications. If more than one person applies from the same organization, the application that arrived first will be taken into consideration. If there are still available places left, other people will be invited. Individuals who apply first will be able to participate, and will receive a confirmation of participation via ZOOM platform and email.
