We are committed to providing opportunities for young people on a daily basis and motivating them to work in the community and encourage civic and youth activism. This is exactly the case with young people from Prijedor, Kostajnica, Kozarska Dubica and Novi Grad, who spent the previous weekend participating and developing their local initiatives, i.e., solutions to the problems they and their peers face every day.
Some of them pointed out that in their cities/municipalities there is a lack of space for young people, but they also mentioned some other initiatives, like having more cultural and educational content for young people, as well as the renovation of sports fields, which will motivate citizens to have a healthier lifestyle.
It is a great honor to encourage change by individuals who will further motivate the entire community with their personal examples.
The realization of these big plans and local initiatives of our “Youth activism against extremism in Prijedor” project participants is expected in the coming period.
The project is implemented with the support of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative (BHRI) program, implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
