Global Analitika is currently implementing a project with the support of the US Embassy in BiH, titled “Young People Can Act!”, with the aim of empowering young people and developing their capacities. With the support of this project, we provide an opportunity for those who are willing to invest their time and efforts in non-formal education, learning and spreading the message of youth activism as a pillar of a democratic society. Furthermore, participants will be trained in innovative approaches and tools when it comes to activism and advocacy, inclusion, developing critical thinking, public speaking and negotiation skills.
We use this opportunity to inform you that in the period from August 16 – 20 a forum will be held in Mostar.
By implementing this activity, we want to enable as many young people as possible to spend five unforgettable days hanging out with their peers in Mostar, in a location that will be of interest to young people, but also a place where change can begin and spread across the country. 🤝 🇧🇦
You can apply and participate in this training if you are between 17 to 25. 🤜 Let’s be the change we want to see in our community!
Children and young people will spend five days together and have the opportunity to learn about the importance of youth activism, how to change the situation in their community, but also how much support for young people can mean in creating a better society. You will learn about the importance of spreading youth activism, how to empower young people from divided and less developed communities with public speaking skills, problem solving and negotiation, and how to make young people aware of the available advocacy tools. Participants will be given the opportunity to unite in their development through non-formal learning to unleash creativity, critical thinking skills and innovation in improving society. And as an icing on the cake, we will jointly create a mural, which will send a message about the importance of togetherness, leadership and activism!
The participation costs of all participants are covered by the organizer (food, accommodation and transportation). Despite the coronavirus situation, it is essential that each participant, if a participant is an adult, complete a statement that he or she has no symptoms or that he or she has been in contact with people who tested positive for coronavirus. Also, for minor participants, guardian/parent has to fill in the previously mentioned statement, as well as the consent for the participation of their child. Participants will be divided in groups, and thus will contribute to the health protection of us all!
