Tourist resort Čardaci Vitez and the city of Trebinje are winners of the tourist award “Prism”

The tourist resort “Čardaci” Vitez and the City of Trebinje are the winners of the Prizma award in the categories ‘resorts’ and ‘destinations’.

The tourist resort “Čardaci” Vitez and the city of Trebinje are the winners of the Prizma award in the categories ‘resorts’ and ‘destinations’, and were announced as winners at the conference “Our Local Tourism” within the framework of the 55th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad.

In 1997, the editorial staff of Turistička prizma launched an action called “For a new quality in tourism”, which was initially conducted in the territories of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was soon expanded to the entire territory of the former Yugoslavia, and then to Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and Albania. From the beginning to the present day, the guiding idea has been to contribute in a special way to raising the level of tourist services and encouraging innovation in the tourism industry.

The specificity of this campaign and the Prizma award itself is that it is run exclusively by tourism journalists from the region, as good experts in tourism opportunities, who are also members of the jury. Journalists are the ones who nominate and decide on the awards, and Prizma is awarded in 12 categories, however, practice has shown that in no year have the winners been from all, or from every country, which speaks volumes about the strict criteria for nominations.

This year, the journalistic jury awarded 12 “Prisms” in seven different categories, and the awards, in the form of prism statues rotated in space and certificates, were ceremonially presented on Friday.

In the “events” category, the winners of the awards were Grape Harvest Days (Vršac, Serbia), Rijeka Carnival (Rijeka, Croatia), and IFS The Night of The Dragon (Slovenia), while in the “eco, ethno and wine tourism” category, the awards went to Tilia Estate (Vipava Valley, Slovenia) and Zdravkovac Country Club (Jarmenovci, Serbia).

In addition to the City of Trebinje, in the category ‘destinations, DMO’ awards went to the City of Sveti Ivan Zelina (Croatia), the City of Podgorica (Montenegro), and in the category ‘health tourism’ the award went to the Hotel “Car Samuil”, Bansko (North Macedonia).

In the category ‘restaurants and other catering facilities’, the award was given to Koča na Sveti Jakob (Slovenia), while the “Žeravica Museum” Novo Miloševo (Serbia) won the award in the category ‘supporting activities in tourism’, the Turistička prizma editorial office announced.
