The Citizens’ Initiative of Mostar organizes an event called “Her Story – Her Story”, which marks International Women’s Day. The event will take place on Monday, March 6, 2023. at 18:00 in the City Hall of the City of Mostar.
At the event, a short film about (In)visible women that we have presented so far as part of our project “Invisible women from the past and present of Mostar and Herzegovina” supported by the Kvinna till Kvinna foundation will be shown.
Discrimination is still present in our society in the context of unequal recognition of women’s contribution, visibility and work, and in order to prevent this, we need to strengthen the collective culture of memory.
With a short film about (In)visible women, we will try to draw the attention of the public on the occasion of Women’s Day to all the women we have forgotten.
The initiative of the citizens of Mostar will continue to talk, speak and present to the public the successful women of Mostar, as well as Herzegovina, and thus draw the public’s attention to the important role of women in our society.
