The best experiences of preparing products for online sale presented

Under the title “The world is your market”, the first event which brings together all relevant participants in the online store market in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held.

Under the auspices of the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, DHL International and Startup Studio, presented the best solutions and experiences in the preparation of products for online sale, its payment and delivery to the end customer.  

The initiative to discuss this important topic was launched by the largest eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The great interest and the presence of many online businesses, which are currently in the phase of finding the best solutions for international sales, are proof of how relevant this topic is and how much we still need to work to improve and facilitate the environment and conditions for cross-border sales. One of the goals of the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to work in this field because we believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a huge potential for marketing products abroad, and the market in the region opens up countless opportunities for our online retailers,” said Belma Ljuta-Agić, Executive director of the Association.

The event was also attended by Edin Emšo, General Manager of DHL International d.o.o. Sarajevo, who emphasized in his address: “Cross-border online sales are growing enormously, which was particularly affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but analyzes of relevant research show that the annual growth rate will remain around 25% in the coming years regardless of the global pandemic situation and reach a figure of almost 5 trillion US dollars by 2026. BiH companies can take a step forward and participate in these figures much more than is the case today and in that sense, it is important to share experiences and knowledge to make the journey easier. Panels and discussions like these are a good start.”

The young entrepreneur Nejra Nuhić, who together with her associates is behind the online shop Werkstatt, whose jewelry is worn by world stars, including the singer Beyoncé, also shared her experiences. She said that all the efforts paid off and that the launch of the webshop has greatly facilitated and improved their business, but that the key to success is also a strong brand that they have been building for years.

The event was organized in the Startup Studio Sarajevo and on that occasion, the Studio presented services for support and development of eCommerce business with startups.
