The Institute for Youth Development KULT has re-established cooperation with the Municipality of Velika Kladuša after an eight-year break.
Jasmin Bešić, the Institute’s General Director, met with the new Mayor of the Municipality, Boris Horvat, to discuss priorities for youth in this community. The meeting resulted in an agreement on important steps that will improve the position of youth in Velika Kladuša.
In the coming months, it is planned to conduct research on the position and needs of young people, which will serve as a basis for the development of a Youth Strategy in accordance with the Youth Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, it has been agreed to revitalize the former Cultural Center, which was once the main gathering place for young people, in order to revitalize this space and make it available for their activities.
It is particularly significant that the Municipality of Velika Kladuša will plan funds for youth work and youth work in the 2025 budget, thereby demonstrating the local authorities’ commitment to long-term investment in youth development. The Institute for Youth Development KULT is proud to be able to provide support in this process, as we believe that investing in young people benefits not only them but also the entire community.
Renewed cooperation with the Municipality of Velika Kladuša sends a clear message: Young people are a priority, and through joint work, new perspectives for their future are opened.
