Although a large part of the world economy already uses the principles of the circular economy, this kind of business is still being introduced in the region. Leading economic experts are already popularizing the principle of resource reuse in production processes.
All the importance and advantages of the circular economy will be presented at the online conference Circular economy in action – Rethinking the production and consumption models in the Balkans, which will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 starting at 10 a.m. via the Zoom platform.
At the conference, regional and European experts will put the key topics of the circular economy in the context of Europe and the Western Balkans, and present ways to support the change of the economic model of companies in the region. The conference will include the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as the promotion of good practices, but also regional cooperation and networking in our area.
The conference is organized within the regional project “Partnership for Circular Economy – Sustainable Growth and Regional Development of SMEs” implemented by the Youth Entrepreneurial Service (YES) Foundation in partnership with the Albanian Socio-Economic Think Tank and INTERA Technology Park, co-financed by the Fund for the Western Balkans.
The conference is intended for representatives of the business sector, public sector and civil society from the Western Balkans, with special emphasis on Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program will be held in English. Please register via the following link.
