About the lecturer:
Professor Seid Korić is a recognized expert with rich academic and professional experience. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo, and received his master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He currently serves as Technical Director at NCSA and Research Professor at the University of Illinois. Seid led research projects on Blue Waters, the world’s first petascale supercomputing system, and demonstrated the scalability of petascale engineering applications. His research is focused on the application of artificial intelligence in engineering disciplines and finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
