Sarajevo, November 3, 2021 – New season Hello! The project begins with even more ambitious plans by Nestlé, all with the aim of supporting parents in raising healthier generations. Well-known chef Almir Mukača and sports ambassadors, athletes Amel Tuka and Nikolija Stanivuković, are joining forces for healthier children in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During November and December this year, Nestlé will launch a series of educational videos on cooking on its own and partner channels, as well as useful tips for keeping fit at home and in schools. The idea is to use the famous BiH faces and benefits of new media to encourage parents and children to create healthy habits from an early age.

In cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nestlé started the local initiative Nestlé School Athletic League (NŠAL) in 2006, the goal of which was to encourage school-age children to engage in physical activity. Aware of the importance of education in changing attitudes, in 2012 the project “Zdravo!” was launched in primary schools throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, until today, includes over 20,000 children, 5,700 parents and almost 100 teachers and coaches of sports clubs.

Nestlé, the largest food company in the world, is an important part of BiH community and has been investing in educating children, parents, teachers throughout BiH for more than a decade, and supports the realization of Zdravo! Athletics Cup, which, until today, has brought together over 2,500 children in sports in the competition and final part, from 8 BiH cities (Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka, Zenica, Tuzla, Prijedor, Čitluk and Sokolac). The project, among other things, supported the progress of numerous athletic champions, record holders and members of the BiH national team, such as the young athlete Nikolija Stanivuković, who started her career through Zdravo! cup.

Together we have contributed a lot for young athletes. It is now up to us to include even more partners in the project and to benefit from the education of an increasing number of children in BiH, but also to help those sports talents that we recognize from year to year through Zdravo! Cup,” said Nebojša Matijević, selector of men’s athletics teams of BiH, in charge of organization and coordination of the Zdravo! cup.

Although part of the global Nestlé initiative For Healthier Children, Zdravo! project has really become an important part of our contribution to BiH community. Many people with whom we share the same vision and mission have given their support to the project, and that is the education of healthier generations and a healthier future. Amra Džeko, Amel Tuka, Miran Karić and Danira Šabić, and from this year Almir Mukača, Nevena Pandža and Nikolija Stanivuković are just some of them. We continue even more ambitiously – with a larger number of children and partners, which we plan to include in the project in 2022,” said Irena Merkaš, Head of Corporate Communications, Nestlé Adriatic.

In recent years, the project has experienced significant strides – the first digital cookbook for parents and children was launched, educational and entertaining videos were produced with famous chefs who prepared healthy and fast meals with their little helpers, and pointed out the reduction of food waste, and a successful collaboration with nutritionist Nevena Pandža.

This month begins a new season of education in schools and sports clubs through Hello! project, by which Nestlé continues to invest in educating new generations in primary schools, promoting healthy eating and physical habits.
