It is not always easy to have a vision, to create an idea, to develop it, but also to add that final touch as the last element of perfection.
No, it is not easy to have a team that works like clockwork, where everyone knows the weaknesses and strengths of the other, and who can put absolutely everything on the table and discuss at any moment. Of course, nothing is perfect and subject to change, but we can enjoy the moment of perfection and with that perspective look to the future and look forward to new victories!!
Well, it’s not like that , there is no relaxation. Leading a team is a complex process, and creating one is even more difficult. People to people are just people, and everything is a cultural matter of perspective. Each individual has personal aspirations, aspirations and needs. And why should we ignore it. But then again, no one ever leads a team alone, and this is where we get into the problem of today’s populist view, which through experts for understanding people and teams present theoretical frameworks of ideal fit, ideal balance. To be realistic, balance does not exist, a thousand types of teams doing the same things achieved the same successes. Today, metrics, numbers and exact data have become more of a fancy thing than a necessary reality. The economy consists of profit and savings , everything else is just a small profit factor, and that’s where every story ends.
I agree that metrics bring a better understanding of the team, but also that they are not in charge of improving or worsening the state of the team. It is not a medicine. Lek brings the experience and maturity of the leader, but also of all other team members. Some individuals have the urge to fight for “misfits” due to various internal reasons, but most of the time it is only resistance that arose as a result of the desire to understand them in the right way, in their own way, and this is undoubtedly the biggest obstacle if it is noticed late. But, most of the time, it is not even noticed, but they reach for other arguments: “it didn’t fit in, it’s not for us, it’s too negative…” It seems as if today we have gone too far into the need for tangible things and absolutely ignored the feeling .
Do we really not believe in ourselves, or do we have too much self-confidence?
Have we started to suffer chronically from too much and too little self-confidence and that, in fact, we protect ourselves with the theory “that only we (singular) are the absolute center of the world”?
So how can a team function if we are blind to see, and even worse, understand the other. Although, whatever he knows, he probably doesn’t understand anything. Even though the metrics say it’s good, it works well. Maybe it’s negative, toxic for the group… Maybe, but a metric is a metric, and if it’s good, it certainly brings good for the company. But it is best if the metric is followed by someone “who really understands it”, it is relevant, because it is not important what we see and that we have that innate sense of harmony and goodness, realistically…
And now, as a team, we made it to the finals of the ideaton “You say innovation, you think application” organized by OTP banka. And we really were a team. A real team, but not because of expertise or good division of labor, but because of energy. The chemistry of the team, which was dedicated to work and which, with absolute synergy, solved the biggest dilemma of every team, “separating the important from the unimportant” and assembling the final product into a compact functional unit.
The question of all questions: Is humanity by nature an anthill, as a representation of a pure organization where everything is known and absolute harmony reigns, or are we not? It matters what you believe?
