Elpida Herzegovina is launching a humanitarian campaign for the People’s Kitchen in Mostar

They hope that the turnout will be great, because pain and hunger do not choose age or religion. As Ivo Andrić wrote, “It’s strange how little is needed to be happy, and even more strange how often we lack just that little bit!”

In May, radio presenter Antonela Vučić, together with English language teacher Adriana Zorić, decided to launch another humanitarian campaign “Lend a hand”.

This time, he hopes that we will all lend a hand to the People’s Kitchen in Mostar, which has more and more users. Namely, he invites all those who can donate cakes and sweets, and handicrafts to contact them. When enough is collected, they will organize the sale of the same, from which funds will be used to buy basic foodstuffs for the users of the People’s Kitchen in Mostar.

Life often does not spare us, and due to difficult circumstances, people find themselves in a situation where they have to step on their pride and shame, and go get food with their heads down, because there is no other way out. Many of them don’t want it, they may never even have thought how they will get to those stages, but unfortunately the harsh everyday life forces them.

“We always try to help during the holidays, when we are all a bit sensitive to those in need. But what about the rest of the year? Maybe we should think about that too. People are not only hungry during the holidays, but also throughout the year. I decided this time for the People’s Kitchen in Mostar, because I think we must not forget those people, and the queues for meals are getting longer. It’s not easy to stop and wait, it’s not a matter of a meal but stepping on something much bigger, that’s why I admire all of them and I want to make their everyday life at least a little easier”, said Antonela Vučić.

He invites all those who want to help in any way to contact the mobile phone number 063 319 969 or the email address elpida.hercegovina@gmail.com.

They hope that the turnout will be great, because pain and hunger do not choose age or religion. As Ivo Andrić wrote, “It’s strange how little is needed to be happy, and even more strange how often we lack just that little bit!”

“Don’t let them miss it a little, because our little is a lot for someone. Let’s get started and make them happy at least for one day, we never know what life brings and what situation we may find ourselves in tomorrow”, said the organizers.
