By signing the cooperation agreement between the three organizations, networking and strengthening of organizational capacities within the LocalWorks initiative continued.
With the official signing of the Agreement, the beginning of cooperation between the Association of Amateur Sports Association S (A.S.U.S.) and Tershouse, as well as the Association and the Cultural, Sports and Recreation Center Hadžići was defined.
The A.S.U.S. gathers young people from the municipality of Hadžići and through various activities contributes to the processes in the community, and by participating in socially responsible events improves its position.
Upon completion of the works, young people will have a special space where they can study, work, socialize, organize events, but also attend various workshops and trainings. By signing a cooperation agreement between Tershouse and the A.S.U.S. the continuation of support and mentoring in the coming period has been defined, and the cornerstone of future cooperation has been laid.
“I can say that this is one of the most important things for young people that has happened in the past years. Young people will finally have their own space for work, studying, research. The administrative and technical support we have from the Institute for Youth Development KULT and Terhouse is very important to us, given the many years of experience that these organizations have. The municipality of Hadžići, which is the main financier of the project, continues the process of improving the position of young people in the community. Until now, this process was visible through the financing of youth projects, and the support in the foundation of Hub can be seen as one step ahead,” said Tarik Fatić, president of the Amateur Sports Association S.
The now well-known Tershouse is the largest event & coworking space in Bosnia and Herzegovina, available to all individuals, organizations that need space to work, hold events, and is also a place for networking, both companies and individuals.
“When we started working at Tershouse, the concept was quite new for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am glad to see that local communities have recognized the importance of creating a multi-purpose space – whether you are a student, a young entrepreneur or simply need space for your presentation, we are here for you. We will be happy to share the knowledge, experience and capacity of our center, in order to more successfully start the work of the Hub in Hadžići “, said Nermin Šehić, founder and director of Tershouse d.o.o., Coworking Space.
All activities that are within the competence of the work and activities of the Association A.S.U.S., will be organized in the premises of the Cultural, Sports and Recreation Center Hadžići. By signing the cooperation agreement, the Center will provide its capacities and premises for the smooth running of all educational and other activities in the coming period.
“Our goal is to gather all young people in one place through the Hub’s work, where they will be able to be educated, learn, and make new acquaintances. The doors of the Hub will be open to all young people who want to get active, do something for themselves and the local community. The A.S.U.S Association is the only youth association in the Hadžići area, and it is planned to hold a series of activities within various programs intended for young people. Assistance for the implementation of the project came from several sides – first of all the Municipality that provided most of the funds, then the International Organization for Migration (IOM) through the donation of computer equipment, and the Institute for Youth Development KULT which provided selfless support throughout the process in the form of education and mentoring “, said Ilijas Kovačević, director of the Public Institution” Cultural, Sports and Recreation Center” Hadžići.
The LocalWorks is a USAID initiative through which the Institute for Youth Development KULT strengthens the capacities of local organizations.
Through various activities such as training and mentoring for capacity development, development of tools for strengthening organizational capacity, continuous monitoring and evaluation of performance, visibility and promotion, and additional networking, the program actively contributes to capacity building of civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
