The Institute for Youth Development KULT, in cooperation with the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, is initiating activities on the development of a strategic document for youth, the Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo for the period 2022-2026.
On this occasion, the mayor dr. Hasan Tanović and the executive director of the Institute Šeherzada Halimić signed a Cooperation agreement on the development of a strategic document for youth.
The signing of the Agreement was attended by representatives of the Youth Council of Novo Sarajevo, who will work closely on drafting the document, in terms of conducting field research, and the participation of Council members in working groups, together with the Youth Commission of the Municipal Council.
Mayor dr. Tanović pointed out that the drafting of this document will contribute to more efficient management of youth policy at the level of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, and that the Strategy will include a comprehensive approach to building social, economic, educational, cultural and other conditions for lasting well-being of young people and their active and responsible participation in the community.
The subject of cooperation under this Agreement includes the following modalities of support provided by the Institute and cooperation in:
- Conducting research on the position and needs of young people in the Municipality;
- Preparation of an analysis of the position and needs of youth in the Municipality;
- Facilitation and advisory support to the working group for the development of the Draft Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo for the period 2022 – 2026;
- Support in the preparation of the Draft Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, which includes work on writing the document, involvement of stakeholders, support in organizing public consultations and final design of the Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo for the period 2022-2026.
