The Institute for Youth Development KULT, on the basis of the indicated need, announces a competition for the following position:
Assistant in the Department for Youth Policy Development, one position (01.09.0-N2.1-42856)
Job description
Providing administrative and technical support during strategic planning and monitoring the development of youth policies at different levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as participating in the creation of strategic documents. Support for initiatives and cooperation with government institutions aimed at improving the position of young people. Cooperation and support for youth organizations and organizations that work with young people. Support in the creation and implementation of advocacy initiatives of the Institute. Participation in the development of youth programs implemented by the Institute. Assisting with the administration of documents and other tasks related to the scope of work.
Position-specific criteria
- experience in the same or similar jobs for at least 2 years,
- experience in logistical organization of meetings and events,
- desirable solid knowledge of youth policies,
- experience in writing analyzes and reports.
Type of contractual relationship for all positions
Full-time employment under an employment contract. Expected start of employment: October 2024.
Eliminating (mandatory) criteria for all positions
– category B driver’s license and an active driver with experience,
– excellent knowledge of the English language,
– computer skills (MS Office, Internet),
– citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Additional criteria for all positions
It is desirable that the candidate has developed communication skills, that he/she is inclined to work in a team, that he/she is independent in performing his/her work and that he/she has no difficulty with occasional trips and flexible working hours. The tendency to use different software solutions that facilitate and speed up work processes is considered mandatory considering that all processes are digitized through various online and desktop applications.
Candidates who have experience working in non-governmental organizations in jobs relevant to the position they are applying for are especially encouraged.

Selected candidates will be invited to the test, and if they meet the test criteria, to an interview.
Testing will take place on September 19, 2024. in the premises of the Institute for Youth Development KULT (Central Office Sarajevo, St. 4. Viteške Brigade 34-36, Ilidža). The test assesses knowledge in the field of the position for which the candidate is applying, as well as knowledge of the English language. The interview will take place in the week from September 19 to 25, 2024. in the Central Office Sarajevo. Candidates who are not shortlisted or with whom the Institute does not intend to enter into the negotiation process will not be contacted.
