Ballet Mostar Arabesque won a bronze medal at the world competition in Prague

The grand finale of the Dance World Finals Prague 2024, which gathers around 10,000 finalists from all continents of the world every year, was held from June 26 to July 6.

The Mostar swans from Ballet Mostar Arabesque (BMA) won the bronze medal at the world competition “DWC Finals 2024”, held in Prague, in the category “Ballet Small Group” up to 9 years old. The grand finale of the Dance World Finals Prague 2024, which gathers around 10,000 finalists from all continents of the world every year, was held from June 26 to July 6. This is preceded by qualifications in which 66 countries and around 120,000 children and youth participated this year, the BMA announced.

On this occasion, the artistic director of Ballet Mostar Arabesque, Arleta Ćehić, said that the BMA submitted seven choreographies this year and that they all made it to the finals. “The Swans of Mostar won an almost unattainable third place and a bronze medal in the mentioned category, which was achieved by Hana Stojkić, Eva Krtalić, Sara Galić, Una Marić, Kiara Mujić Vujević, Elena Grabovac, Emma Krpo and Lajla Hadžiabdić,” said Ćehić. She added that ballerina Sara Galić (6) won 4th place with 91.80 points.

By the way, Mostar’s swans have also won prestigious awards in the past year at other competitions: at the International Ballet Competition “Ana Pavlova” in 2023 in The Hague, first place (93.55 points) where the jury included Tatiana Petrova, Vladislav Kuramšin, Olesia Novikova and Almira Omanović, and third place (90.50 points) at the International Dance Talent Competition Italy (IDTCI) in 2023, and Sara Galić shared fourth place (92 points) with a girl from Singapore in the solo ballet category.
