If you have at least a year of work experience in the hospitality industry and want to hone your knowledge and gain additional experience, take the opportunity and apply to the Raise the Bar Academy, a free educational program for waiters, baristas and bartenders.

This year, all interested waiters, baristas and bartenders from Bosnia and Herzegovina can apply to the Academy, regardless of their level of education and employment status. If you want to participate in the renowned Coca-Cola HBC program, please fill out the form on the website ACADEMY by September 15.

When and how

The theoretical part of the classes is held in Zagreb, in the educational center Coca-Cola HBC Croatia in Zagreb, and the practical part in restaurants and bars throughout Croatia. Among the applications received, the Coca-Cola expert team and members of the Raise the Bar team will select the shortlisted candidates. This will be followed by an interview with the candidates, and the selected participants will learn the most modern techniques and trends in catering from October 18 to December 10 as part of theoretical and practical classes.

What will I learn

The Raise the Bar Academy program was created in cooperation with the European Bartender School, and includes bar management, history, classification, production and testing of the category of strong alcoholic beverages, liqueurs, beer, wine, coffee and coffee drinks. Attendees will learn how to make their own syrups, liqueurs and screws, and will learn about recipes for as many as 88 cocktails and many other skills and knowledge necessary for work and advancement in the hospitality sector.

Coca-Cola HBC Croatia experts will be joined as lecturers by top experts in the field of mixology and spirits, wine, coffee, beer and bar management. Among them are Andrej Čapka, director and owner of Zmajska pivovara, Ivan Jug, Croatian sommelier champion, co-owner and manager of the Noel restaurant, and Andrea Klemenčić, hotel manager in the gastronomy and restaurant departments.
