PROJECT SUMMARY

The project contributes to Bosnia's climate protection goals by holding trainings and using ecorobot technology that is capable of composting organic waste. This technology was developed in Hungary and within the project it creates export market opportunities for the innovative product. The methodology is able to show immediate measurable results in the processing of organic waste.

With a unique approach it supports environmental education in a playful way. Using waste management experts, the training of recycling options main target groups are urban communities, educational institutions and companies. Demonstration, the opportunity to try out the process is part of the training. The unique indoor ecorobot has smart composting system that helps the nutrient cycle while providing entertaining education for all the age groups.

Users can create a full-fledged, nutrient-rich compost material within weeks without using any worms or having any unpleasant odour and the system doesn’t need daily treatments. Sensors measures the quality of the content, which can be monitored through an application that guarantees a playful and motivating learning method. The futures trainers training starts during the pilot period with “train the trainers” methodology just as the promotions and export development strategy which would increase the number of ecorobots in the region.

The circular economic model, with the involvement of the urban population offers a playful solution to reduce the carbon footprint, radically reduce methane and nitrous oxide emissions from improper waste management and to create locally produced plant nutrients and by using educational elements we can support communities in the direction of self-care and self-sufficiency. Within the project the development of environmental responsibility is measurable, visible and it gives a real first-hand experience that develops environmental education, ecoethical self-care, ecological footprint reduction and environmental support.
