Segregation on a national basis is one of the major problems faced by young people in Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, and it is the leading topic that will be dealt with in the play that they will create as part of the “To Stay or to Leave” project.
A dozen of them gathered last week at the forum theatre workshop, which through a set of games and exercises helps develop critical thinking, define the common problems that drive young people from the country, and find potential solutions.
Presenting numerous examples of divisions in this city – from the ban on going to cafes in another part of the city, to divisions within schools, the young people pointed out that these are all stories that are close to them and that are happening.
The project “To Stay or to Leave” implemented by the Youth theatre “Česta” was supported by USAID through the peacebuilding project PRO-Future, and its goal is to establish a dialogue between peers in this city, in order to create a space for creating better living conditions for young people.
