JOB ANNOUNCMENT
for the vacant position of
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN II
at the Architectural Modelling Lab – 1 (one) person (m/f)
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum diploma of a secondary school of mechanical engineering;
• University degree in technical sciences is considered an asset;
• Experience as lab technician, CNC operator or other relevant position, preferred;
• English language skills are essential;
• Other foreign language skills are desirable;
• Working knowledge of MS Office, required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operates with CNC machines and other equipment that are in the program of architectural modelling;
• Helps to plan and conduct of controlled experiments and trials;
• Records and analyses data related to lab work;
• Demonstrates procedures;
• Collects, prepares and tests samples;
• Maintains, calibrates, cleans and tests the equipment;
• Provides technical support;
• Presents results to senior staff;
• Keeps up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments;
• Supervises staff and students;
• Carries out risk assessments;
• Orders and maintains stock and resources;
• Designs and executes laboratory tests according to standard procedures, makes observations and interprets findings;
• Records all data and results in specified forms, with accuracy and responsibility;
• Performs other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Candidates who apply personally or via postal service should indicate the position they are applying for on the envelope.
The selection of the candidates who meet the conditions of the competition is made by the Committee. As a part of the procedure, a preliminary check of the work skills and motivation will be conducted with the shortlisted candidates.
A fixed-term contract is concluded with the selected candidate for one year, with a probationary period of six months.
The competition remains open for 10 days from the day on announcement.
Incomplete, untimely, and irregular applications will not be taken into consideration. The application documentation will not be returned to the candidates.
