The organization “Zemlja Dinarica” made a short film “One Million Steps Road” about Via Dinarica, a trail that stretches from Slovenia to Albania, through Bosnia and Herzegovina, and through which passes one of the most beautiful part of the mega trail.
Via Dinarica is a route intended for hikers, cyclists and other excursionists who visit the Dinarides as tourists, but at the same time a platform for the development and improvement of living conditions for people living in the Dinarides.
The president of the “Zemlja Dinarica”, Zehrudin Isaković, told Fena that the film is educational, intended for children of primary and secondary schools and inform them about the trail.
As one of the main motives for the establishment of this trail is the protection of nature in the area, but also the importance of the development of mountain tourism and recreation through these magical areas.
“Everyone who passed the trail was delighted with the diversity and beauty of the area. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the trail includes the areas of Buško Lake, then the mountains Vranj, Čvrsnica and Prenj, Boračko Lake, Bjelašnica, Visočica, Kalinovik, Zelengora, Sutjeska, Maglić and Trnovačko Lake,” Isaković added.
Their wish, he added, is for the younger generations to be informed about the trail and to love their homeland through a natural beauties tour.
The film was made with the support of UNDP, USAID and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
