The American Chamber of Commerce in BiH, aware of the seriousness of the situation that resulted in the tragic loss of human life and great damage to the economy, and threatened the daily life of the population, supports the appeal of the Association of Employers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UPFBiH) for the urgent reconstruction of the railway and road infrastructure in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the area of Jablanica Municipality, due to the tragic consequences of the weather.
AmCham BiH members also support the initiative to speed up administrative-legal and financial processes in this and similar crisis situations. Quick reactions are necessary to remove obstacles to emergency interventions. Infrastructure renewal is of key importance not only for economic recovery, but also for the daily life of citizens who depend on the regular functioning of traffic lines.
The members of AmCham BiH, which are already suffering serious losses due to damage to the railway infrastructure, expect a prompt reaction and intensive cooperation of the federal and state authorities to solve these issues, and above all the necessary public procurement.
Also, AmCham BiH emphasizes the importance of developing sustainable and permanent models for emergency interventions in similar situations, which would enable an efficient reaction of all competent authorities and thus the protection of the population and the economy in the future.
