  • Cleaning action with volunteer engagement of UniCredit Bank d.d. employees and their family members
  • The activity starts on Sunday, September 05, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.
  • The goal is to preserve the environment and raise awareness of the importance of a clean environment

The large ecological actions, which the Diving Club Bosna has been implementing for 8 years, show how important it is to take care of the preservation of the natural environment. This time, a part of the Bosna riverbed will be cleaned at the location of the Roman bridge all the way to Sastavaci. Eco action starts on Sunday, September 05, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Members of the Diving Club “Bosna” and volunteers, employees of UniCredit Bank d.d. Mostar.

It is difficult to count how many Eco actions of the Diving Club “Bosna” have been implemented so far. Despite the fact that cleaning actions have been done for many years with a lot of love and success, there is still a great motivation to continue cleaning the rivers and lakes of our country. The wholehearted help in the realization of this project will be provided by the company UniCredit, and its employees will be involved in the cleaning activities. We would like to express our gratitude to all partners who participate in the implementation of these activities.

“We divers know best the condition of our rivers and lakes and we face this problem every day. Therefore, we cannot wait for better weather, water purification and the results of these actions. The fact that we are returning to certain locations this year, even though we cleaned them last year, speaks best about how necessary such cleaning actions are. The problem is big, and people’s awareness of the need to care for water purity is hard to change. That is why we support and implement these activities, which are now continuously giving certain results, because that is the only way we can change the situation”, said Hrvoje Gavrančić, president of the diving club “Bosna”, whose divers will participate in the cleaning action again.

“We are continuously working to be an initiator of social change by our example, and to contribute to the preservation of the environment. As a bank, we have been supporting river cleaning actions for many years. Concern for the environment is important to us and our priority is to preserve the biodiversity of rivers, which is invaluable, as well as to raise the global environmental awareness of the population. I would like to thank all the employees of the bank who gladly responded and joined the action of cleaning the river Bosna. On the way to a cleaner and greener future, an action of cleaning Trimuša and Radobolja in Mostar is planned for Saturday. We look forward to the upcoming activities. Our goal is to be part of the solution, with a constant commitment to sustainable value creation and full integration of ESG principles in the activities we perform.” – said Amina Mahmutović, President of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank d.d. Mostar.

Such eco actions show the importance of a clean environment, water that surrounds us, but also human responsibilities towards the ecosystem. It is important to build a sustainable and responsible attitude towards natural resources, and developing a global awareness of this problem is one of the missions of the Diving Club “Bosna”.
