A new linear accelerator has been delivered to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, a device that will enable the provision of radiotherapy services at this health institution.
This modern device, together with a CT simulator, a radiotherapy planning system and phantoms, is part of a valuable procurement that was achieved through a tender procedure and a contract between the University Clinical Center Tuzla and the company Inel-Med doo Mostar, with a total value of approximately 8.5 million marks.
Director of UCC Tuzla, prof. Ph.D. Šekib Umihanić says that the Tuzla University Clinical Center will soon provide radiotherapy services with a new linear accelerator, CT simulator and all the necessary systems for precise planning of radiotherapy and thus provide patients with high-quality treatments in the treatment of malignant diseases in the Tuzla Canton.
UKC Tuzla does not have a radiation machine since February 2023, and patients are sent to other cities for treatment, BHRT writes.
As a reminder, the tender for the procurement of a linear accelerator has been completely canceled twice so far, and the tenders have been canceled in the procedure just as many times.
