The Western Balkans Local Communities Summit on June 8 in Visoko

The second conference “The Western Balkans Local Communities Summit” will be held on June 8 this year at the pyramids in Visoko – Ravne 2 Park, in order to promote and improve the economic, tourist and other potentials of local communities.

Dinko Mujkić from the Wood Cluster “Furniture and Wood”, which is one of the organizers of the event, said that about 40 local communities have been included in the network so far, which will operationally enhance future cooperation, and its expansion. He reminded that the first conference “The Western Balkans Local Communities Summit” was held in early April in Sarajevo, when the initiative committee for networking of local communities was formed.

The organizer of the conference is the agency “EventExpo” Buy and use products from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Wood Cluster “Furniture and Wood”. The partners are the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the Chamber of Economy of FBiH.

The goal is to connect local communities with interested investors, apply and present certain projects to partners abroad and promote local communities as successfully as possible with all its comparative advantages. This project is very important especially because of the information that the region of the Western Balkans is becoming interesting for new investments. The first signs of recovery of the BiH economy are already visible, as evidenced by foreign trade statistics. The goal is to show, not only in our country but in the region and beyond, that we function despite very difficult business conditions, so I hope that soon, when the conditions for international conferences and fairs are met, we will be present at these events again, where we have won the most important awards“, added Mujkić.

The organization of such conferences, as he added, seeks to overcome the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupts the world’s economy, and to enable domestic export-oriented companies and local communities to better promote and strengthen their capacities.
