UNESCO has opened the 12th call for project proposals within the funds from the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD).
IFCD supports developing country projects that lead to structural change through the introduction and/or development of policies and strategies that have a direct impact on the creation, production, distribution and access to diversity of cultural expressions, as well as strengthening institutional infrastructures supporting sustainable local and regional cultural industries, which was established by the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions in 2005.
Projects supported by IFCD cover a wide range of activities – from capacity building to policy analysis and development, entrepreneurship support and consolidation of cultural industries, which are in line with the objectives of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
More information on projects funded by the IFCD so far can be found HERE.
Public administration bodies, institutions and non-governmental organizations from developing countries that are members of the Convention, as well as international non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply.
The maximum amount of funds that can be requested for the implementation of the project under this Fund is 100,000 USD. Duration of the project can be from 12 to 24 months. The exclusive way to submit project proposals is through an online application platform.
Detailed information on the conditions and criteria for project application, as well as access to the online platform can be found at this link.
The deadline for project applications via the online application platform is June 16, 2021, by midnight.
