The City of Banja Luka has published a call for the allocation of 1.2 million BAM of support to business entities

The City of Banja Luka has published a public call for the allocation of subsidies to business entities affected by the crisis caused by the corona virus, which in 2021 were banned or restricted from working.

In order to preserve jobs and maintain economic activity, the City of Banja Luka will allocate 1.2 million BAM to support business entities from the territory of the city, it is stated in the announcement.

As provided by the Public call, hotels, motels and hostels can receive from 350 to 450 BAM per room – depending on the number of stars, and travel agencies, tour operators and contractors up to 1,000 BAM per full-time employee.

When it comes to subsidies to wedding salons and nightclubs, funds in the amount of up to 7,000 KM per business entity can be approved.

The public call also envisages subsidies for the temporary occupation of public space for setting up gardens of catering facilities, in the amount of 100% of the fee for the month of March and 30% of the fee for other months during 2021.

As part of the support to the economy, the Public call also includes measures for subsidizing the amount of the communal tax for displaying the business name to those entities that were restricted or hindered in performing their activities, it was stated from the City of Banja Luka.

In order to mitigate the negative consequences on business, caused by the pandemic, the City of Banja Luka decided to support the old crafts in the city up to 1,000 BAM per business entity.

Also, the Public call includes subsidies for self-employment in production, craft, service and trade activities in the city, in order to cover part of the costs of starting your own business. The amount of subsidies is from 3,000 to 7,000 BAM, depending on the applicant’s education.

Applications with the necessary documentation are submitted to the Department of Economy.

The deadline for submission of applications in the category of subsidies to business entities in the field of tourism and catering, subsidies for self-employment and support for old crafts in times of crisis is 30 days from the date of publication of the Public call.

The deadline for submission of requests for compensation for occupying public space and for subsidies related to the communal tax for displaying a business name is December 31, 2021.
