The Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board of has published two public calls – For a better winter offer, more than 800,000 BAM

The Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board has published two public calls for co-financing and support for projects that will contribute to the development and improvement of the tourist offer and potential, offer additional facilities for the local community, tourists and citizens, and extend the winter tourist season in Canton Sarajevo.

The total value of funds intended for project support is 807,000 BAM.

In this way, the Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board continues with activities aimed at the recovery of tourism and the economy, and provides support and direct assistance to legal entities whose activities, program activities and projects are aimed at the development, improvement and promotion of tourism.

The Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board will co-finance projects in the field of tourism, culture, sports, entertainment, education, gastronomy, ecology and holiday decoration.

The public call “Winter Events Calendar” worth 200,000 BAM was created with the aim of encouraging the development and enrichment of the tourist offer of Sarajevo Canton on the Olympic mountains Bjelašnica, Igman and Trebević during the upcoming winter season. By creating an outdoor winter calendar, and respecting epidemiological measures and recommendations, as well as trends in tourism aimed at developing outdoor potential, the Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board seeks to restore Sarajevo’s Olympic spirit, and position and promote the Olympic Mountains as desirable tourist destinations.

The public call Sarajevo Winter Fest is intended for programs and projects which develop tourism initiatives, ideas and products, and which will offer tourists and citizens interesting content and a rich program of events throughout the winter in several locations that will be decorated in the holiday spirit. The total amount of funds allocated for Sarajevo Winter Fest is 607,000 BAM.

Through the segment intended for local self-government units and companies founded by local self-government units, which in their programs provide additional content for the local community, enrich the tourist offer and develop new tourist potentials, holiday decoration projects in the amount of 240,000 BAM will be co-financed.

The funds in the amount of 367,000 BAM are intended for legal and natural persons (crafts) who are registered to perform tourism activities or who implement projects and activities aimed at the development, improvement and promotion of tourism in Sarajevo Canton, the Tourist Board announced.
