Zvonić added that the idea came from the fact that the Olympic Games are being held in Paris this year. “We, as the French Institute, are working on the promotion of that event, the idea of the dictionary came up by itself because we also have a fellow citizen who will present herself in Paris. We thought with professors and students about how to make a contribution and that’s how we created this dictionary”, added the head of the branch of the French Institute in Mostar. Džejla Tanović, a student of Second High School Mostar who participated in the creation of the dictionary, points out that the work on the project was extremely interesting.
“We worked in pairs, translated words and had the opportunity to explore a little more about sports. This is not an important project only for the French Institute and our schools, but for Mostar and BiH. In this way, we are promoting our city and country”, said the fourth grade student of the Second High School Mostar. Zvonić mentioned that the goal was for the students to expand their knowledge of the French language, and about the Olympics in general and sports.
“It is true that by working on the dictionary we improved our knowledge of the French language and every part of the activity was useful for us. The research we did also helped us, and all the effort and work paid off. This is one more step for our school, students and the city of Mostar,” said the student of Second High School Mostar.
