On Thursday and Friday, representatives of eleven organizations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in a two-day training on strategic communication in the non-profit sector in Sarajevo. The training is an introduction to a six-month program of mentoring and consulting in the field of strategic planning, cooperation with the media and quality writing.
In addition to presentations and lectures by trainers, participants through practical work and exercises on strategic communication, preparation of communication mix and plan and quality writing of content for announcements, news and social networks worked on improving their skills.
The training was led by Kenan Efendić, a consultant for strategic communication, who during the past year successfully worked with the Network on the development of the Communication Strategy and Action Communication Plan, conducted trainings in content writing, media communication and social networking.
The Local Works is a five-year project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that works on empowering local communities. Through assistance and support to communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we want to develop capacities that will enable sustainable growth, increase civic engagement and mobilize available local resources. Partner organizations in the program are the Center for Civic Cooperation Livno (CGS Livno), the Network for Building Peace, the Institute for Youth Development KULT, the Tuzla Community Foundation and the Mozaik Foundation.
The Network for Building Peace is a coalition of 220 members, organizations and schools from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, working to build sustainable peace.
