Today I share an opportunity with you, similar to the one I mentioned in my blog: ” How does the language of the giraffe help in developing better relationships?” “. It is an opportunity for young people aged 18 to 35 , who come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Poland, Spain, Belarus, Germany, Kosovo and Portugal, who believe in peaceful changes and want to build more inclusive communities.
My first opportunity I had for this kind of experience was in June 2024, when I participated in the Youth Peace Camp in Strasbourg, and I remember it as one of the BEST experiences in my life so far! Emotions overwhelmed me all the time at the camp. In addition to learning about non-violent conflict resolution, I met inspiring people from different parts of the world and listened to their stories. Those stories made a strong impression on me, because we shared similar challenges, but from different perspectives. Even today, we stay in touch, support each other and talk about everyday challenges and conflicts, and I have an even greater passion for building peace, connecting with others and learning from each other.
If you are interested in a similar opportunity, Roots is waiting for you in Evian-les-Bains, France! The training, which is supported through the Erasmus+ program, will take place from December 2 to 9, 2024, and applications are open until October 18. Through this program, you can learn how to analyze conflict, recognize its roots, and work on its transformation through non-violent methods. Along with learning new skills, this training is an opportunity to connect with young people from Poland, Spain, Germany, Kosovo, Belarus, Portugal and France.
