The SHL Foundation has prepared something for you – the Power Up Seminar, which is the largest and most demanding SHL seminar for young people who work intensively in non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This time, the topic of the Power Up Seminar is “Strategic planning of youth organizations” and will be implemented in the period from May 14 – 30, 2021.
The aim of the seminar is to build capacities of the participants as young leaders, and to increase their competencies, skills and knowledge as professional workers in the non-governmental sector.
Through a combination of theoretical and practical approaches to learning, participants will not only gain the knowledge and skills needed to progress, but will also have the opportunity to network with professionals from Bosnia and Herzegovina and active peers from the NGO sector.
Also, the seminar will bring the topic of strategic planning closer to the participants. Within the seminar the participants will have the opportunity to create a strategic plan for their youth organization!
Participation in the seminar is free, and due to the specific situation with the pandemic, the seminar will be organized online. You can apply as an individual or as a group representing a youth organization or informal group. The seminar was created as MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) on the SHL Moodle platform and as such consists of two segments:
– The first segment concerns theoretical knowledge on the topic itself, participants will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge on the topic of strategic planning through various materials.
– Through the second segment of the seminar, participants will have the opportunity to immediately apply the acquired knowledge in specific tasks. In this way, by successfully completing the Power Up Seminar, participants will, in addition to knowledge, get a written strategic plan of their organization.

The SHL team will select participants based on the received applications and all applicants will be informed on the status of their application on Thursday, May 13, 2021 via the e-mail address provided in the application form.
