Yes, empowering young people by strengthening skills and fostering leadership through Learn, Think and Act! UMiD training for youth leaders has long-term positive effects for BiH society and Emin Zolota who also learned about leadership as a student of UMID 15 proves this statement.
For the past few days, Sarajevo has hosted the eighth edition of the international project “Leaders of Tomorrow”, organized by the Association of Electrical Engineering Students of Europe – EESTEC Local Committee Sarajevo. The Sarajevo Local Committee, in competition with 46 committees across Europe, was honored to organize this international project, and the team of hard-working and motivated students was led by the great UMiD member Emina.
“After the UMiD training and after the implementation of my local civic initiative and many other projects, I have only the best experiences with KULT. I am glad that the Institute was a partner and supported this project which aim was to encourage the training of individuals for engagement in the NGO sector both locally and internationally. Through acquiring the necessary knowledge and tools to take leadership positions, team and project management skills with a focus on overcoming potential obstacles, and encouraging creativity, self-awareness and exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge of electrical engineering students, we managed to present Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best light” – Emina said proudly.
As a true leader and leader of the organizational team, Emina and her team provided students from 15 countries with the opportunity to learn about the cultural and historical riches of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, judging by the closing ceremony attended by the Institute, left a strong impression of the guests and especially enriched this experience.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT believes in empowering young leaders for active participation in a democratic society, because young people are not only the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also its present.
We at the Institute are proud of this young team, our Emina, but also of all the other young people who continue to grow, learn and bring true change to their communities even after completing their training. We are especially happy that our paths cross again and again and that these young people recognize Institute as a partner ready and determined to support good and important stories.
