As part of Advent in Mostar, the Italian humanitarian association “Il Giardino delle Rose Blu” held an entertainment program for children on the promenade of Nikola Šubić Zrinski on Sunday.
This group of volunteers is known for their dedicated work in the community, and as part of the winter volunteer camp, they prepared a unique entertainment program that delighted children and adults.
Milena Matić Blažić, volunteer of the Boundless Smile project, said that traditionally for years they come to Mostar for Advent and make a street festival for children, young people and adults, guided by the motto “Life happens through you, but also through others”.
– Today we are in Mostar all day and we have prepared various animations for children, various competitions, dance points, fun games for all ages and performances by street entertainers. Our volunteers have no age limit. We are of all age groups and we are all guided by one noble goal, which is to make life better for whoever we can – said the volunteer.
She added that in addition to this activity, volunteers provide assistance to the needy.
– In addition to this activity, we also visit the Egipatsko selo children’s home in Mostar, the Drin Center for people with special needs in Fojnica, migrant centers in Sarajevo, but we also have families that we care for and visit. We visit families at least twice a year and help in the form of food, medical supplies, school materials for the children, but also financially – emphasized Milena Matić Blažić.
He believes that this event provides an opportunity to witness the positive impact of humanitarian work and cooperation that brings people together through smiles and shared energy.
