The project of the Henkel brand Persil, which aimed to provide quantities of detergent sufficient for the six-month needs of all families from SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been successfully implemented. During the month of March, with each purchase of Persil detergent, all customers were part of the campaign “All children deserve clean clothes”, thanks to which 77,000 kg of clean laundry will be provided for children and youth living in SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We are very grateful to everyone who recognized the importance of our mission and actively contributed to its implementation. Early development is of great importance for the future of children and we always use the opportunity to express our gratitude and respect for the organization of SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina for everything they do to create equal opportunities for the youngest. Hygienic poverty is only one aspect that negatively affects the development of children, and we hope that this campaign has succeeded in motivating the general public in solving this problem,” said Henkel’s marketing manager Ivana Mladenovic.
Hygienic poverty is known to have an extremely negative effect on children’s development. Not only on their health, but also on their self-confidence, well-being, interpersonal relationships and future, Henkel’s donation is important for supporting children and young people and recognizing their needs.
“All children need support during their growing up and personal development. It is especially important for children without parental care to ensure equal chances to achieve their full potential and their dreams. In addition to safe, loving and carefree growing up and quality education, a significant segment of quality care is related to hygiene and health. Our friends from Henkel have recognized the global challenges of caring for children, and we are happy to have been a partner in the project as an organization, ensuring that families need semi-annual detergent needs. We truly thank Henkel for the valuable donation, as well as the customers who helped us achieve our common goal by participating in the campaign,” said Mirela Gruenther Đečević, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina provide care for children and young people without parental care and directly support the socially disadvantaged and families at risk of separating children within the Family Strengthening Program.
