Great news from Počitelj: After the cleaning action “Take care, be careful, don’t throw waste!” the old town shines again

New activities of hard-working nature conservationists organized on Friday

Počitelj without waste, beautiful nature and again attractive to all residents and visitors – this is the image of this cultural and historical pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina left after the cleaning action “Take care, be careful, don’t throw waste!” what we want to see in the future.

Last week, a hard-working team of the Youth Club “Novi val” from Blagaj gathered in Počitelj and cleaned the tourist trails within the walls of the old town, as well as 250 meters of access roads and alleys. Nineteen participants collected more than 15 bags of waste, and on that occasion, they recorded a great video that they hope will inspire all people to preserve the beauties of their country for a better life in every part of it.

“In addition to removing garbage and arranging public areas, we want to raise awareness among people about the importance of nature conservation, and thus improve the living conditions of all citizens within this local community. We thank Ožujsko pivo for their support and we hope to continue our cooperation for a better tomorrow for all of us”, said Adnan Đuliman, president of the Youth Club “Novi val” from Blagaj, and thanked everyone who were part of this action.

The eco caravan provided by the company Molson Coors BH and Ožujsko pivo continues its mission. On Friday, July 23, at 5 pm, the cleaning of the local road that connects the municipalities of Maglaj, Žepče and Zavidovići will start. This time, the eco lead is taken over by the Association of Citizens of Fojnica, which recently won the sympathy of the public because it gathers members of all generations in an important nature conservation mission.

“Every year, the members of our Association clean the Sedra forest site, where reckless drivers throw waste out of their cars, so that real wild dumps often form there in a short time. This negative practice is not only common for this section, but is unfortunately present on almost all of our roads. Thus, instead of numerous natural beauties, travelers through our country can see negative pictures of discarded waste”, said the secretary of the Association of Citizens of Fojnica Davor Šupuković and emphasized:

“Perhaps our action will not change the negative habits of individuals, but it will certainly change the image we send of ourselves and our community to the world. And more importantly, it will change the environment in which we live. That is why we sincerely thank Ožujsko pivo for their support, and we invite all interested volunteers to join us”.
