Glamoc is also my hometown.

If you were to ask yourself what connects the people of Glamoč today, those who live in Glamoč and others displaced around the world, it would be hard to imagine what it could be at first. And different things would come to mind before what is true. And that truth is a website. Which is called “GLAMOČ IS ALSO MY HOMELAND”.

And the story about that website undoubtedly belongs to the positive stories. Which are so few today.

The website “Glamoč je i moj zavičaj” came to life in 2011, but the initial administrators left the maintenance of the site to one person. Which is called FREE RADUMILO. And who has been the sole administrator of the site for a number of years. He is responsible for a lot of the positive things that the site provides to the people of Glamo. No matter where you are.

What makes this website attractive to Glamoc residents is that they have convinced themselves that it only provides them with positive and true information from their homeland. And that there are no ugly and angry posts and comments. Therefore, it should not be surprising that the page has about 7.5 thousand followers.

In fact, the site has become a kind of informer of a wide range of information related to life in Glamoč today. Or the way it used to be – through photographs from the past. Which bring back memories of some famous faces or former landscapes and the appearance of the city itself.

In the whole story, the most positive thing is that the site provides an insight into everything valuable and significant that is happening in Glamoč. Photographs, videos and text accompany every noteworthy event or action, marking anything worth marking. The humane and humanitarian dimension made possible by this medium has more than once encouraged the people of Glamo to provide help and support to sick Glamo people, regardless of where they live now. Or to give support to the praiseworthy hands of Glamo or actions that will promote them. Such as the “Krompirijada” or the successful branding of Glamock potatoes.

But, Glamoc residents will also be informed in detail on “their” page about an event called “Rock Fest” that takes place at the end of July and which has become an event not only for Glamoc but also for the surrounding areas. And has become a kind of festival of music and socializing, not only for Glamoc residents.

There is much more related to this page, such as ensuring that no event related to culture and cultural, sports or ecological life remains unrecorded. And Slobodan also, almost on a daily basis, offers some scenes from Glamoč to those who cannot see them – through a wide range of photographs. Whether it is two rainbows above the Glamoč field or the town, village, forests and mountains of Glamoč under the first snow.

Oh, if only every Bosnian homeland had its own Slobodan. Ours, Glamorgan, has one, and we are grateful to Slobodan for the enthusiasm with which he engages in this activity of his.
