As of January 1, the Tuzla Canton government, led by Prime Minister Kadrija Hodžić, the first in the Federation of BiH, has decided to reimburse the costs of establishing a business.
“Faced with the growing challenge of young people leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the desire to facilitate the first steps for them, but also for all those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to start their own business story, we want to help them and society. We decided to launch the so-called tax-free model support. This is our attempt to respond to those segments that we could not directly influence due to the incompetence of the cantonal level of government. For example, you have a number of fees, taxes concerning the federal or local levels of government, which we as a canton could not influence,” Prime Minister Hodžić said to Večernji List.
He added that the Government has found a way to reimburse everything that new entrepreneurs will have to pay when establishing companies. “In this way, we directly contribute and help businesses and create a more favorable business environment,” said Hodžić.
With the planned half a million BAM for next year, with this model, the Government will make it easier in the first, and perhaps the most difficult step for future businesspersons.
“We have planned funds for the refund of the tax, the payment of which is legally obligatory, and we will take into account all other parafiscal fees that are determined by law for founding of companies or crafts. When it comes to procedures, the procedures will be the simplest, with the submission of documentation and evidence of establishment. Based on that, decisions on the return of funds will be made, and the money will be paid indirectly from the Ministry of Finance of Tuzla Canton. We believe that this is a significant support and I believe that many who have thought about starting their own business will be encouraged by this initiative“, said the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton.
