The Festival in the Center is a meeting of art, community and the joy of living in the center of culture with a program adapted for all ages
The fourth edition of the Festival in the Center will be held from August 16 to 23, with free admission to all programs.
The festival in the Center brings a rich and diverse program that will unite art, creativity, recreation and music, turning the city into a meeting place of different cultures and generations. This year’s Festival programs in the Center will take place in Radićeva Street, at the Academy of Fine Arts, at the Obala Open Stage, Meeting Point and in Franca Lehar Street in Sarajevo.
This year’s festival in the Center will also have a rich artistic, literary and concert program, as well as workshops for the youngest, sports activities and activities representing different generations from associations operating in the area of the Municipality of Centar.
Art workshops are designed as an interactive space for learning and creation, adapted to all generations. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at making Delmatic jewelry, while the third segment of the workshop will be dedicated to healthy living and active aging.
Recreation and games will be an integral part of the daily program, providing an opportunity for physical activity and fun. Programs such as Fit Kids and Fitness Summer will be held daily, with additional activities such as table tennis, chess and outdoor exercises. The basketball club will organize workshops for children, making this part of the program particularly interesting for the youngest.
The music segment of the Festival in the Center includes a series of concerts and performances. From the performance of majorettes, a concert performance of film music, to performances by Frenkie, Kontra and Indigo, everyone will find something for themselves. The sevdah evening and the concert of the intergenerational choir of the Centar Municipality’s centers for the elderly will further enrich the program, and DJ sets at three locations will ensure an unforgettable time. Books will also find their place at the festival through promotions that will take place in the Buybook bookstore.
