Street Arts Festival Mostar and OKC Abrašević are starting with a new artistic concept “The Future of Public Spaces”, as an introduction to the upcoming jubilee 10th Street Arts Festival, which will take place in September. The program will unite the artistic residences of established muralists, workshops for young people, and a forum with which the realization of the project will begin, which will continue throughout the summer.
On Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 18:00 the Session “Street Art GenerArtor” will be held in OKC Abrašević. At the Forum, we will talk about the city identity, the importance of open public spaces, Street art in Mostar and urban art in general.
The following inspirational guests will take part in the Forum: sociologist Merima Jašarević, architect Senada Demirović, muralist Tomislav Lončarević, architect and muralist Nikola Mihajlović, and Marina Đapić, Maja Rubinić and Sabina Maslo, representatives of the organizing team of the Street Arts Festival.
“With this event, we want to start a dialogue about street art that exists in our city, from the aspect of experts, to articulate the phenomenon of Street Art in real time and contemporary society. We invite our fellow citizens to join us”, the organizers point out.
The project is implemented with the support of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative (BHRI) program, implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
