On this occasion, the beneficiaries of the “Let’s take advantage of opportunities together” project presented and exhibited homemade juices, jams, jam, homemade salads, eggs, cakes, dairy products, organically grown fruits and vegetables, and knitted paps. The two-day fair served as an excellent opportunity to present everything that the Association does, but also to achieve economic profit and empower them.
Last Friday and Saturday (October 11 and 12), the 16th “Herzegovinian Fruits of the Mediterranean” fair was held in Stolac. More than 100 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as neighboring countries, had the opportunity to exhibit their products at this fair, which is traditionally organized by the Association “Herzegovinian Fruits of the Mediterranean” and the City of “Stolac”. Among them were members of the Mostar informal association “Sumejja” and beneficiaries of the “Let’s use opportunities together” project, which is implemented by the Foundation for Local Democracy with the financial support of AMICA eV, Freiburg, the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany ( BMZ).
On this occasion, our users presented and exhibited homemade juices, jams, jam, homemade salads, eggs, cakes, dairy products, organically grown fruits and vegetables, and knitted papas. – We are happy that we got the opportunity to show how we can make quality products and even participate in a Fair like this. Even though we are here for the first time, we have already made numerous contacts and acquaintances. I believe that our next presentation will be even better and of higher quality – said Fata M., adding that they are especially grateful to the donor who enabled their participation at the Fair.
Former beneficiaries of the project: “Get up! For greater social protection”, and introduced themselves as the Association “Mali ženski kutak” from Prozor, created within the project. Their earlier participation in “Herzegovinian Fruits of the Mediterranean” was also a project activity. But this time, sufficiently empowered and independent, they presented themselves in front of their own association.
