DC-VET WB project: Encouraging social inclusion in vocational education

Work package number three.

September always means the beginning of a new school year and many preparatory activities for the teaching process

In SŠC Hadžići, September also marked the beginning of pilot activities of the DC-VET WB project, especially work package number 3, Encouraging social inclusion in vocational education.

In the past few weeks, Prof. Jasmina Pezo organized several interactive workshops that enabled students to practically apply what they learned in the school environment.

All the workshops held so far are equally interesting and important, but for now we will single out only a few;

  • “How do you separate butter from milk?” – Traditional making of butter, by churning buttermilk in a narrow wooden bowl – stapa
  • The “Secret of the Perfect Cup” workshop was created to learn about preparing and serving coffee, which the students made themselves, and treated their teachers to their creative cups of coffee.
  • The workshops “Wool jewelry” and “Be a conservator” motivated students to explore cultural diversity and habits, techniques for making jewelry from natural materials such as wool, and ways to preserve cultural heritage.

Through an interactive approach, students acquired new knowledge about the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, developed awareness of the importance of civic responsibility, as well as the importance of sharing and donating.

In the coming months, new activities will follow, such as an apple festival, gift wrapping and arranging workshops, gift giving, etc.
