We invite young people to be part of the creative music workshops project titled “MUSIC CARAVAN – promotion of intercultural dialogue, understanding and cooperation among young people in the City of Prijedor and the Prijedor region.“
The main goal of the project is to encourage the development of sustainable peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the affirmation of intercultural value at the level of the local community and society through cultural and musical activities for young people. The duration of the project is 12 months (April 2021 – April 2022), and the implementation of music workshops will be carried out in the wider region of the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Prijedor, Sanski Most, Oštra Luka, Ključ, Bosanski Petrovac, Novi Grad, Kozarska Dubica, Bosanska Krupa and Kostajnica).
Music workshops mentors are prominent music composers/musicians from Prijedor – Igor Paspalj (the best guitarist in the world for 2020), Anes Beglerbegović (drummer, “Dino Merlin band”) and Dinko Kulenović (bassist, “Rock ko fol” band). The content of music workshops is based on the following topics: introduction to musical instruments, musical styles through presentation, playing with students, musician as a profession, the process of recording a music, etc.
The project is implemented by the Association Bosnian Cultural Center in Prijedor, in cooperation with the music school “House of Good Tones” from Srebrenica and the music studio “Indico music” Prijedor. The donors of the project are the Austrian non-governmental organization “Bauern helfen Bauern” from Salzburg and the Austrian Cultural Forum Sarajevo, which operates within the Austrian Embassy in Sarajevo. Media partners are the web portal “Prijedor24.com” and “Free radio” Prijedor.
We invite young people, aged between 14 and 35, to join us in the “Music Caravan”. The deadline for applications is April 27, 2021.
