On June 22, 2021, the closing conference of the project “Strengthening confidence in the preconditions for a better future for youth” will be held in the City Hall of Mostar, starting at 11:00, on the topic, “Implementation of the Law on Youth of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Law on Youth Organization of the RS in Local Communities”, with the aim of highlighting good practices in the implementation of the previously mentioned laws. The Platform for Peace will also be promoted at the conference.

Working Group for the City of Mostar, within the Project ‘PRO-Future’ (Trust-Understanding-Responsibility for the Future (PRO-Future) a project of the United States Agency for International Development is implemented by the humanitarian and development agency Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in partnership with the Institute for Youth Development KULT, Caritas BiH, Forum of Tuzla Citizens, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly of Banja Luka, Interreligious Council of BiH and the Nansen Dialogue Center Mostar, is implementing the Project “Strengthening confidence in the preconditions for a better future for youth”.
The project “Strengthening confidence in the preconditions for a better future for youth” aims to provide communication mechanisms between local communities in Herzegovina, within the Project PRO Future (Mostar, Ljubuški, Trebinje, Široki Brijeg, Čitluk, Stolac, Nevesinje, Ljubinje, Berkovići, Čapljina Ravno, Jablanica and Konjic), which are geographically, relatively close, have different national population structures and different levels of economic development. Therefore, the key goal is to create mechanisms for establishing better communication between government representatives and youth in local communities and between local communities, through the strengthening of Youth Councils/Youth Organizations, which exist in the local communities involved in this project on creating the necessary preconditions and sustainable mechanisms for the formation of the mentioned associations/councils.
As part of the project, certain activities have already been implemented, working meetings were held in the City of Trebinje and the City of Ljubuški, which were attended by representatives of the City of Trebinje, Ljubuški and Mostar, members of the Youth Councils/Youth Organizations/Associations from each previously mentioned cities.
