We have witnessed a large number of women and girls who have chosen to speak out publicly about the violence they have survived. Such experiences carry severe physical and psychological consequences. How to adequately protect women survivors of violence? What kind of psychological and legal support do they need and where can they get it?
Join us for an online workshop where longtime experts in these fields will answer questions, share their experiences and give tips on how to protect women and address violence.

Marija Runić is a linguist, feminist and activist living in Banja Luka. She has been employed in higher education institutions since 2004. In addition to linguistics, issues of the position of women in our society occupy an important place in her interests and in the domain of political activism. As one of the holders of the Women’s Solidarity Network project in the academic year 2020/21, she conducted a research on women’s security in academia with special reference to the University of Banja Luka.
Marijana Senjak, psychologist and psychotherapist, is the co-founder of the Center for Women’s Therapy Medica Zenica and the Center for Psychological Assistance in War, Zenica, BiH. She was a consultant on the screenplay for the award-winning Bosnian film “Grbavica” and coordinator of the “Dignity for Survivors” campaign, which led to the recognition of the status of civilian victims of war as rape survivors in BiH. She works as a psychologist and counselor at the Center for Victims of Sexual Violence of the Women’s Room in Zagreb.
Duška Andrić is an activist, feminist and member of the Women’s Rights Center in Zenica. For 28 years, she has been investing enormous energy in improving the status of women, especially those who have suffered violence and any other violation of women’s human rights.
