The Call for applications for the 4th eUPSHIFT workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina is open until February 14.
eUPSHIFT is an online workshop developed at UNICEF’s Office of Innovation to provide young people with the skills and resources needed to identify problems/challenges and design solutions in local communities.
Young people aged 13 to 19 can apply in teams of three to five members, coming from the following municipalities: Travnik, Novi Travnik, Kiseljak, Brestovsko, Fojnica, Jajce, Vitez, Busovača, Bugojno and Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje.
We especially encourage and invite young people from marginalized groups such as members of the Roma population, young people with disabilities, young people without parental care and young people from families of low socio-economic status.
After two rounds of selection, 10 teams will be selected to participate in the workshop. During the 4th eUPSHIFT workshop, trainers and mentors will guide their teams through the process of analysis and problem solving and enable young people to acquire practical and functional knowledge and skills. After the workshops, the teams will present their ideas to an expert jury, after which the jury will select five teams and reward them with 3000 BAM each to implement their idea. The 4th UPSHIFT workshop was made possible by the Government of Sweden.
In the period from January 18 – February 14, i.e. while the applications are open, young people will be able to attend online Zoom presentations where they will have the opportunity to learn more about how to apply and ask anything they are interested in about the eUPSHIFT workshop. Dates and links for Zoom presentations will be published soon on the website www.upshift.ba.
